Since 1966, it has been producing artisanal single malts with a focus on natural processes without chill filtration, without coloring, and with electricity from its own hydropower. The Deanston 12 Year Old matures exclusively in ex bourbon casks made of American oak. This maturation gives it a clear, honey sweet character
